ABOUT ME

A young filmmaker who has a love for all things film, new and old, with relevant skills stretching from video/photography to analytical and narrative writing, seeking to apply that passion and skills learned from an academic and amateur setting to a professional setting as a way to grow connections, and gain knowledge in the industry in the hopes of one day producing my own professional content through creative means.

Relevant Coursework:
Various production courses including advanced audio and video production courses, as well as various theory classes and history classes detailing the world of film editing and production. In these courses, I learned various analytical and abstract practices that are relevant to the film industry with groups of peers who are passionate about the same subjects.

Graduated June 2015 Relevant Coursework: Participated in multiple creativity and videography classes that helped start the foundation for creative thinking of my own, passion for film and its history, as well as a start in video and audio production throughout my time at high school.

Freelance Video Production (2020-Current), Freelance Video Production Assistant and various other roles, Detroit, Michigan

  • Currently working as a freelance video production assistant in and around the Greater Detroit Metropolitan area.

  • In the past, jobs have included professional TV pilot settings, broadcast news, as well as smaller studio productions.

  • Responsibilities have ranged from camera operation, running audio, BTS photography, equipment setup, and general on set assistance to help ensure smooth running operations.

Flow Video (2019), Video Production and Editing Intern/Assistant, Detroit, Michigan

  • Worked in an environment planning video projects, working on set, as well as in the editing room for various clientele in educational, corporate, and commercial sectors of business to create high quality video and audio.

  • Helped improve the pre-production process to ensure creative freedom not only for the client but also the filmmakers at the company.

  • Assisted editing down B-Roll footage as well as edited several high-profile projects for clients throughout the summer.

  • Developed and assisted in color grading and retouching of both video and photography projects for clients.

CMNTV (2018), Production/Post-Production Intern, Troy, Michigan​

  • Worked with several different groups of people on local cable-TV programs and underwent training for live and prerecorded broadcasts. 

  • Worked set-dressing, setting up audio and video equipment for productions as well as working with some live editing with ‘Tri-Cast’ systems. 

Troy Parks and Recreation Department (2015-2018 Seasonal), Camp Coordinator, Troy, Michigan​

  • Oversaw and Ran a camp of 40+ children a week while also overseeing 10-12 counselors over the summers. 

  • Took children on multiple field trips every week and exhibited leadership skills in planning and executing each event. 

  • Interpersonal skills learned from talking to parent’s and staff about the campers as well as the daily activities and dealing with any sort of issues that might arise.
